About Our Standard House Cleaning

Your weekend is short enough without spending it on the bathroom. Standard house cleaning is the routine, maintenance-style clean that keeps a Florida home fresh between the big resets. It is the service most of our regulars book, and for a lot of them it is the reason they got their Saturdays back.

We are Krystal View Cleaning, a family-run team based in Davenport. For more than seven years we have cleaned homes, condos, and vacation rentals across Polk, Osceola, Orange, Lake, and Seminole counties, and word of mouth is how most people find us. A standard clean with us covers the whole house room by room, and it pays extra attention to the spots that build up fast down here: the ceiling fans that pull dust all day, the window sills that catch pollen, the lanai track that fills with sand.

There is no published price sheet, and that is on purpose. Every home is a different size, condition, and layout, so we give you a real free estimate instead of a fake number. Call 877-754-5614 and we will walk through what you need.

Who this is for

  • Busy families and dual-income households
  • Working professionals who want their weekend back
  • Retirees and snowbirds who want a reliably clean home
  • Anyone keeping a home guest-ready year-round

What a Standard House Cleaning Actually Includes

A standard clean is built to maintain a home that is already in decent shape. We reset the whole house, sanitize the rooms that matter most, and knock down the everyday dust and grime before it turns into buildup. Here is what that looks like room by room.

Every Room: Dusting, Floors, and the Everyday Reset

We start with the surfaces you see and touch every day. That means dusting reachable shelves, furniture, and décor, wiping down light switches and door frames, and clearing the cobwebs that seem to reappear in Florida corners overnight.

Then we handle the floors. Carpets get vacuumed, hard floors get vacuumed and mopped, and we get the edges, not just the middle. We empty the trash, reset the bins, make the beds, and tidy each room so the house feels calm when you walk back in.

  • Dust reachable shelves, furniture, décor, and electronics
  • Wipe light switches, door frames, and reachable ledges
  • Clear cobwebs from corners and ceilings within reach
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs, edges included
  • Vacuum and mop all hard floors
  • Empty trash and reset liners
  • Make beds and straighten each room
  • Florida trouble spots: ceiling fans, baseboards, and window sills

Kitchen

The kitchen gets the most use and shows it fastest. We clean and sanitize the counters, backsplash, and sink, wipe down the stovetop and the outside of your appliances, and clean the inside of the microwave. Cabinet fronts get spot-cleaned where hands and grease leave marks.

A standard kitchen clean keeps things maintained. It does not include the inside of the oven or the inside of the fridge, since those take longer and need different products. Both are easy add-ons if you want them, just ask when you book.

  • Counters, backsplash, and sink cleaned and sanitized
  • Stovetop and appliance exteriors wiped down
  • Inside of the microwave wiped clean
  • Cabinet fronts spot-cleaned
  • Floors swept and mopped

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are where a clean home is won or lost, and in Florida they are also where mildew shows up first. On a standard clean we scrub and sanitize the toilet, shower, and tub, polish the mirrors and chrome, disinfect the counters and sink, and wash the floor.

Standard cleaning handles surface soap scum and keeps mildew in check when we come on a regular schedule. If a shower has heavy grout buildup or set-in mildew, that is deep-clean territory, and we will tell you honestly if that is what your bathroom needs.

  • Toilet cleaned and sanitized, base and behind included
  • Shower and tub scrubbed and rinsed
  • Mirrors and chrome fixtures polished
  • Counters and sink disinfected
  • Floor washed

Standard vs. Deep Cleaning: Which One You Actually Need

This is the question we get more than any other, so here is the straight answer. A standard clean maintains a home that is already clean. A deep clean resets a home that has some buildup, or one that has not had a professional touch in a while.

If it has been more than a month or two since a real top-to-bottom clean, we usually recommend starting with a deep clean, then switching to standard visits to hold that line. The deep clean gets the baseboards, inside the appliances, the grout, the blinds, the vents, and the Florida-specific problems like mildew and salt residue. After that, a standard clean keeps it there for a fraction of the effort. Trying to maintain a home that was never reset just means the standard clean fights buildup it was never designed to handle, and nobody ends up happy.

Not sure which camp your home is in? Tell us the last time it had a deep clean and roughly how it looks, and we will point you to the right one. We would rather set you up correctly than oversell you a service you do not need.

  • Choose standard cleaning to maintain an already-clean home on a schedule
  • Choose a deep clean for a first visit, a seasonal reset, or a home with visible buildup
  • A common path: one deep clean to start, then recurring standard cleans to maintain

How Often Should You Book a Standard Clean?

It depends on your household, not on a rule. Most Central Florida homes land on weekly or biweekly, and biweekly is the most common choice for a reason: it keeps dust, pollen, and humidity from getting ahead of you without paying for more than you need.

Weekly makes sense for homes with kids, pets, heavy foot traffic, or allergy sufferers who feel the pollen. Biweekly suits most working households. Monthly works as light-touch upkeep for tidy homes, smaller spaces, or a seasonal condo you are not living in full time. And plenty of people book a one-time standard clean before company arrives or after a busy stretch.

Our climate is the quiet reason frequency matters here. Humidity feeds mildew, spring and fall pollen coats everything, and open lanais and pool doors track in sand and pollen daily. A steady schedule keeps all of that managed instead of letting it pile into a problem.

  • Weekly: homes with kids, pets, allergies, or high traffic
  • Biweekly: the most popular choice for most households
  • Monthly: light upkeep for tidy homes and seasonal condos
  • One-time: before guests, after a busy season, or to test us out

The Florida Spots We Do Not Skip

Cleaning a home in Central Florida is not the same as cleaning one up north, and a checklist copied from somewhere else misses what actually collects here. These are the spots we watch on every standard visit.

Ceiling fans run constantly and coat their blades in dust that then drops onto everything below. Window sills and tracks catch pollen through both allergy seasons. Baseboards and tile edges hold the fine grit that comes off sandy shoes and lanai doors. Bathroom corners and shower seals are where humidity starts mildew before you notice it. Glass on the pool and lanai side picks up a haze from the outdoor air. We keep all of it in check so it never becomes the reason you need an emergency deep clean.

We clean with non-toxic products like Bon Ami, so the whole thing is safe around kids, pets, and anyone sensitive to harsh fumes. If you host guests or have someone in the house with allergies, that matters more than it sounds.

  • Ceiling fan blades that shed dust all day
  • Window sills and tracks that fill with pollen
  • Baseboards and tile edges that hold tracked-in sand
  • Humidity-prone bathroom corners and shower seals
  • Lanai and pool-side glass that hazes over

Add-Ons, Pricing, and What to Expect

A standard clean covers the routine work. When you want more, add it on: inside the oven, inside and outside the fridge, interior windows, inside cabinets and drawers, hand-wiped blinds, a baseboards detail, laundry and fold, a linen change, or the garage, patio, and lanai. Mention any of these when you request your estimate and we will fold them into your quote.

On price, we do not publish rates because they would not be honest. What a clean costs comes down to your square footage, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the current condition, any add-ons, and how often we come. Recurring visits are more efficient than one-offs, so a weekly or biweekly plan usually costs less per visit than a single clean, and we offer recurring savings. For context, standard house cleaning across Florida commonly runs somewhere in the low-to-mid hundreds per visit for an average home, but the only number that matters is the one we quote for your actual house.

You do not need to be home. Most of our clients give us a lockbox or gate code and come back to a finished house. We coordinate access securely, and you are always welcome to be there if you prefer. Before we arrive, a quick tidy of clothes, toys, and dishes helps us spend our time cleaning instead of moving your things, and if you have a specific product you want us to use on a surface, just leave it out with a note.

  • Popular add-ons: inside the oven, inside/outside the fridge, interior windows, inside cabinets, blinds, baseboards detail, laundry, linen change, lanai
  • Price depends on size, bed/bath count, condition, add-ons, and frequency
  • Recurring plans cost less per visit than one-time cleans
  • Lockbox or code access means you never have to be home

Standard Cleaning Questions, Answered

Whole-home dusting, vacuuming, and mopping, plus cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and bathrooms, emptying trash, making beds, and tidying each room. We also hit the Florida trouble spots like ceiling fans, baseboards, window sills, and lanai tracks. It is the routine clean that keeps a home fresh between deeper resets.

A standard clean maintains a home that is already in good shape. A deep clean resets a home with buildup, or one that has not had a professional clean in a while, reaching baseboards, inside appliances, grout, blinds, vents, and Florida mildew and salt residue. If it has been a couple of months, we usually suggest one deep clean first, then recurring standard cleans to maintain it.

Most Central Florida homes do best on weekly or biweekly, and biweekly is our most common plan. Weekly suits homes with kids, pets, allergies, or heavy traffic. Monthly works for tidy homes and seasonal condos. We will recommend a cadence during your free estimate, no pressure to over-book.

Yes. We bring our own equipment and clean with non-toxic products like Bon Ami, which are safe around kids and pets and easy on anyone sensitive to harsh fumes. If you would rather we use a specific product you provide, just leave it out with a note.

Absolutely. Those are popular add-ons, along with interior windows, inside cabinets, hand-wiped blinds, a baseboards detail, laundry, and a linen change. Mention what you want when you request your estimate and we will include it in your quote.

A quick tidy helps us spend our time cleaning instead of moving your belongings, so picking up clothes, toys, and dishes goes a long way. If you have pets that get anxious, a comfortable space away from the noise is a good idea. And if there is a priority room or a product you want us to use, just let us know.

Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean that area free. That is our Krystal Clean Guarantee. We would rather make it right than have you settle for a spot that was missed.
