About Our Post-Construction Light Cleaning

The contractors packed up and left, and now every flat surface in the room has a soft gray film on it. That fine construction dust gets into places you would not expect: the tops of door frames, inside the light fixtures, the tracks of the new windows, the return-air vents. Wipe it once and it seems to come right back. That is the part we handle.

Krystal View does light post-construction cleaning across Central Florida, from Davenport and ChampionsGate out through Polk, Osceola, Orange, Lake, and Seminole counties. This is the finishing clean after a remodel or renovation. Fine dust off the surfaces, sills, vents, and fixtures, floors vacuumed and mopped, sticker and label residue peeled off, and the whole room reset so you can move your furniture back in.

We want to be straight with you about what this is. It is not heavy debris hauling or a construction site cleanup crew. If there is drywall scrap, lumber, or a dumpster's worth of material to remove, that is a different service. What we do is take a finished space that is covered in remodel dust and make it genuinely clean and ready to use. Call +1 877-754-5614 for a free estimate.

Who this is for

  • Homeowners after a remodel or renovation
  • Contractors finishing a project
  • Realtors prepping a renovated listing
  • Anyone moving into a newly finished space

What light post-construction cleaning actually covers

Post-construction cleaning is a broad term, and a lot of pages use it without saying what you are really getting. Here is exactly what we do on a light post-remodel job, and just as importantly, what we do not.

We work through the finished space surface by surface. Fine dust comes off the walls, trim, baseboards, and ledges. We wipe down door frames and the tops of doors where dust settles and hides. Light fixtures, ceiling fans, and vent covers get cleaned because that is where remodel dust collects and then drifts back down for weeks. Window sills, tracks, and frames get detailed. Then floors are vacuumed and mopped, and any leftover stickers, labels, or adhesive residue from new fixtures, windows, and appliances gets removed.

What we do not do is haul construction debris, remove drywall or lumber, sand, scrape paint, or handle anything that needs a dumpster or a contractor. If your project still has that kind of material on site, finish that part first, then bring us in for the dust-and-detail pass.

  • Fine construction dust removed from walls, trim, baseboards, and ledges
  • Door frames, tops of doors, and casings wiped down
  • Light fixtures, ceiling fans, and vent covers cleaned
  • Window sills, tracks, and frames detailed
  • Floors vacuumed and mopped, including grout lines where dust settles
  • Sticker, label, and adhesive residue removed from new fixtures and glass
  • Kitchen and bathroom surfaces wiped and sanitized
  • Full room reset so the space is ready to use

Why construction dust lingers (and why one wipe never does it)

Remodel dust is not like everyday household dust. Cutting drywall, sanding, and tile work throw off extremely fine particles, light enough to stay in the air for hours and settle in layers long after the work stops. You clean a surface, feel good about it, and two days later the film is back. That is not a cleaning that failed. It is dust that was still floating when you wiped, now landing.

Getting ahead of it takes a specific order of work. We clean from the top down so the dust we disturb falls onto surfaces we have not done yet, then finish the floors last. We pay attention to the places most people skip: vent covers, the tops of fans and fixtures, and window tracks, because dust trapped there keeps re-coating the room every time the air handler kicks on.

Florida makes this a little worse. High humidity turns fine airborne dust slightly tacky, so it clings to walls, glass, and trim instead of brushing off clean. That is why a quick once-over with a dry cloth just smears it around. It takes the right cloths, the right products, and going after it in the right order to actually clear a remodeled room.

When to schedule your post-construction clean

Timing is the one thing that makes or breaks this job. Book us after every dust-producing task is finished. That means all the cutting, sanding, drywall, tile, grout, and painting is done, and the last dusty trade has left the space. If we come in and someone still has sanding or trim work left, that fresh dust settles right on top of the clean surfaces and you are back where you started.

For a single-room remodel, a kitchen, or a bathroom, one thorough pass after the work wraps is usually all it takes. For a whole-home renovation, it helps to let the space sit closed up for a day so the last of the airborne dust settles, then we clean it in one go.

If you are a homeowner moving back in, a realtor getting a renovated listing photo-ready, or a contractor who wants to hand the keys over clean, tell us your finish date when you call. We will schedule the clean for right after the work is done so you are not living or showing around a dusty room.

Post-remodel cleaning for Central Florida homes and vacation properties

We are based in Davenport and work across the Central Florida corridor, so a lot of what we clean is tied to how people build and renovate here. New construction and remodels are constant in the Four Corners and ChampionsGate area, and second homes and vacation rentals get refreshed between seasons all the time.

Vacation-home owners near Disney are a big part of this. If you have repainted, put in new flooring, updated a pool bath, or redone a game room in a short-term rental, that space has to be spotless before the next guest arrives, not just tidy. We handle turnover cleaning for these homes already, so finishing a small remodel and getting it guest-ready is right in our lane.

Snowbirds and seasonal owners run into this too. You leave for the summer, have work done while you are away, and come back to a house that is finished but coated in dust. We can clean it before you arrive so you walk into a fresh home instead of a project. Lockbox or code access means we can do all of this without you needing to be there.

How we clean, and what we use

We clean with non-toxic products, including Bon Ami, which is gentle enough to use around new finishes without harsh chemical smell and safe around kids and pets once you move back in. That matters more than people think after a remodel, because the last thing a freshly finished room needs is a strong chemical film on top of everything.

We bring our own supplies and equipment. If your remodel included a delicate surface, a specific stone, or a finish the manufacturer wants cleaned a certain way, tell us and we will match it. On new tile and grout we work carefully so we are lifting dust, not grinding it into the grout lines.

Every job is backed by our Krystal Clean Guarantee. If there is an area you are not happy with, tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean it at no charge. On a post-construction job that is real peace of mind, because dust can keep settling for a day or two, and if a spot needs a second pass we will handle it.

FAQ

Post-Construction Questions, Answered

No. This is light post-construction cleaning: fine dust removal, surface detailing, sticker and label touch-up, floors, and a full room reset. We do not haul drywall, lumber, or construction debris or handle anything that needs a dumpster. If your project still has that kind of material on site, finish that part first and then bring us in for the dust-and-detail pass.

After every dust-producing task is done, so all the cutting, sanding, drywall, tile, grout, and painting is finished and the last trade has left. If someone is still working, fresh dust settles on the clean surfaces. For a whole-home job, letting the space sit closed for a day lets the last airborne dust settle so we can clear it in one thorough pass.

Remodel dust is extremely fine and stays airborne for hours after the work stops. When you wipe a surface, dust that was still floating lands on it afterward, so it looks like the film came right back. We clean top to bottom and finish floors last, and we clean vents, fan tops, and window tracks where trapped dust keeps re-coating the room. Florida humidity also makes fine dust slightly tacky, so it clings instead of brushing off.

Yes. Window sills, tracks, and frames, plus vent covers, light fixtures, and ceiling fans are all part of a post-construction detail. Those are exactly the spots where fine dust hides and then drifts back down, so we make a point of getting them.

It depends on the size of the space, how much dust and residue there is, and the surfaces involved, so we do not publish flat pricing that would not fit your job. We give free, honest estimates. Call +1 877-754-5614, tell us the room or home and roughly when the work finishes, and we will quote it.

No. Many clients give us a lockbox or code access, which is ideal for post-remodel work since it often happens while you are away or before you move in. We coordinate access securely, and you are welcome to be home if you prefer.

We clean with non-toxic products, including Bon Ami. They are gentle on new finishes, do not leave a harsh chemical smell in a freshly finished room, and are safe around kids and pets once you move back in. If your remodel included a delicate surface or a finish that needs specific care, tell us and we will match it.

Yes, and this is a specialty of ours. We already handle turnover cleaning for short-term rentals in the Disney and ChampionsGate corridor, so getting a freshly remodeled unit guest-ready, dust cleared and spotless, is right in our lane. Tell us your finish date and your next check-in and we will schedule around it.

Tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean that area free under our Krystal Clean Guarantee. On post-construction jobs this matters, because dust can keep settling for a day or two, and if a spot needs a second pass we will take care of it.
